Austin jazz icon Ray “Fingers” Monroe passed away peacefully at the age of 84. Known for his soulful interpretations and mentorship of young artists, Monroe leaves behind a legacy that shaped generations of Austin’s jazz musicians.
Terrace Jordan, the Grammy-winning saxophonist, will headline this year’s Zilker Jazz Festival, bringing her genre-blending style to the Austin stage. The festival will feature over 20 performances, food vendors, and a youth jazz clinic.
